The shop

Solanki Jewellers has kept a counter in Malur since 2005. Dinesh keeps it. The case holds gold and silver — bridal sets, everyday chains, anklets and pooja silver — and the photographs here were taken in the shop.

There are no prices in this catalogue, and that is deliberate. Gold moves daily. Every piece carries its purity and its approximate weight; the rate and the making are quoted when you ask, on WhatsApp or across the counter.
